About Us

I was co-owner of Old Cloverdale Antiques for 24 years. Our shop specialized in 18th, 19th, and 20th century antiques, oriental rugs, chandeliers, porcelains, art, and decorative accessories. I moved my antique business to Montgomery Antiques and Interiors in Montgomery several years ago due to my expanded estate sale business. I have been conducting estate sales for over 35 years and been in the antiques industry for over 40 some years.  I have shown at many antique shows across the country, including the Heart of Country, and on a regular basis, the Don Scott Antique Show in Atlanta, Georgia. I also have participated in many appraisal clinics in and around our area.

My company specializes in estate liquidations of personal property. We offer free consultations with each client with no obligations on the part of the client. No estate is too large or too small for us to handle. Do you have one item or several?  We can help you! Our clients include estate liquidations, persons who are downsizing, moving, or re-decorating. Do you have only a partial estate or a few items to sell?  We can handle that also! We take the worry and work out of disposing of your estate. Every aspect of disposing of your items is handled by us from beginning to end. We take care of cleaning, pricing, staging of the home as well as all advertising for your sale. We work directly with your realtor in marketing your home when applicable.  Any upfront fees or charges pertaining to the selling of your estate are absorbed by us and deducted at the end of the sale. With the exception of advertising fees, all other expenses related to the sale are absorbed by our company.

Occasionally an estate consists of rare or desirable antique pieces that would not normally bring the appropriate price at an estate sale. In cases such as this, we work with the family on marketing their items separate from the sale. Also, location is primary in selling an item, and many times it is beneficial to the estate to move the item to a different location in order to get the right buyers.  Our goal is to get the most we can for every item in an estate, especially those special items that warrant that special consideration.

We have a wide range of advertising for our sales. We advertise through local newspapers, through area wide advertising directories, fliers mailed directly to our clients and customers, which gives us direct and personal contact with our customers. We also have an extensive private email list, directly alerting our customer base as to specific items of interest to them.  Our sales are also listed on the EstateSales.Net website. This site is a wonderful tool in order to reach customers, not only in our immediate area, but all over the country.  My website as well as EstateSales.Net features updated descriptions of items offered in each sale as well as many pictures. Our fees are based on commission only.   We are competitive with all others in our area.

We take pride in our work.  Your sale is our sale and we work to make it as attractive as possible.  We have served hundreds of satisfied clients through the years and hope that before you choose someone to conduct your sale, you will get in touch with us and let us furnish you with references.  I always encourage potential clients to interview several companies before making the decision as to who you choose to conduct your sale.

Having just recently gone through the passing of my mother, I understand what families go through when making decisions on how to handle and dispose of their family's estate.  It is an emotional time for everyone concerned.  I treat my customers just as I would want to be treated in this same situation.  My goal is to make the process as easy on the family as possible, treating your estate as if it were my own.

My credentials include years of appraising antiques - both privately and in appraisal clinics, as well as participating in antique shows all over the country.  I appraise for banks - for private individuals, and for attorneys.  My 35 plus years in the business has afforded me the opportunity to continue to grow, to continue to evolve as the market dictates, and to explore the different avenues in which to market antiques.
